I’m getting really bad at this whole blogging thing.
I do good for a while, then I drop off the face of the Earth, then I come back and promise to post regularly, and then I drop off the face of the Earth again.
Here I am though, back for the 50th time, and promising to stick with it..for the 50th time.
I need to though, because I really need this.
The past few months have been hectic. I completed my first semester of graduate school, I’ve been working as much overtime as I can, and I’m starting a business (more on that in a sec). I’m still working out surprisingly, but the diet has been shit, which means I haven’t really gotten anywhere on the whole weight loss thing.
I weighed in this morning back at 302 pounds. Sure, some more of that may be muscle than before, but it’s still pretty damn ridiculous.
So here I am, looking for accountability, and FINALLY looking to get this shit under control.
Oh yeah…I promised to tell more about the business thing…I’m starting a meadery!
For those wondering what the hell mead is, it’s a wine, but it’s made by fermenting honey instead of grape juice. It’s one of the oldest known alcoholic beverages, but many people have no idea what it is, or only know about it because they read Beowulf in high school. I’m looking to help change that. I have been working with local governments and the Maryland Wine Association, and within the next few months I’m hoping to lease a space and begin the licensing process.
The meadery will be called Hailfellow Mead Company, and you can follow the progress here.
